Twenty-seven years, in order

Installer, then integrator, then the firm that is asked what should be specified.

Founded in 1999. Every date below is checkable, and the systems from most of them are still running.

1999–2011 · the installer years

  1. Trading begins

    Piyush Ganediwala starts selling and fitting alarm panels door to door across Mumbai. No backing, no staff, no inherited client list. Single system, single city.

  2. Registered as Concept Equipments

    The proprietorship is registered on 2 May. Two years of trading had already happened; this is the year the firm became a firm.

  3. First multi-system integration

    Fire tied to access for the first time. Coordinating trades across a live site stopped being an installation problem.

  4. Public infrastructure at scale

    105 Mumbai police stations secured under a single surveillance programme, across a city-wide estate.

2016 · the decision

From this point we stopped competing at L1.

L1 is not a mistake anybody makes on purpose. Three quotes arrive, the lowest one wins, and nobody notices that it won by removing things: conduit, junction boxes, the interfaces between systems. Those get bought anyway, mid-project, at a price nobody quoted.

Then the system runs for four years instead of ten, because it was specified against a price rather than against the building. And the replacement costs more than the difference ever saved.

Anybody can install a system. The question is whether it still works on the day you need it most. We would rather spend a client’s money once, properly, than twice.

2015–2026 · the integrator years

  1. First integrated command room

    The first room built to show one building as a single picture, rather than four screens showing four separate logins.

  2. Command-room design and integration platforms

    The room where the building becomes a single picture, and the layer underneath that decides whether any of it still works in year seven.

  3. 200+ institutional clients

    15 sectors, pan-India deployment, and systems still running from every one of those milestones.
